Criminal Justice Champions
Are you interested in working with Victim Support whilst learning the skills to support people in your workplace or community who may disclose they have been a vitim of crime?
If so, then why not become a Victim Support Criminal Justice Champion?
The role is aimed at people who work with the public either through employment or volunteering and may come into contact with people who have been affected by crime. As a Criminal Justice Champion, we will provide free half a day’s training to you, or your staff or volunteers to give you some background on the work of Victim Support, how crime can impact victims, how we support our service users and how you can make a referral. We will also provide training on how you can provide initial support if someone you encounter discloses that they have been a victim of crime.
We are looking for Criminal Justice Champions across Humberside and South Yorkshire. We can provide training in your workplace and we run sessions in our hubs across the region. Due to Covid-19 we are currently conducting all our training virtually. Get in touch to find out when our next training date is.
If you are interested in knowing more or signing up to the scheme, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0300 303 1976.
